Third Space Symposium FAQs

❔ So the Third Space Slowposium (Nov 15-30, 2024) and Third Space Symposium (Dec 1, 2024) events are over. What is happening now?

For the foreseeable future, we are keeping the online Slowposium Moodle site open with all of the content freely available to explore and the discussions still open to contribute to. We will be adding additional material from the in-person Symposium event, as well as inviting submissions for new contributions showcasing third space practitioner experiences and knowledge. (Stay tuned for more information about that).

We are returning to the Third Space Symposium name for this space to allow the Slowposium to exist as an event in its own right. (Also we have a logo and a domain name and why reinvent the wheel?)

The intention is for this evolving Third Space Symposium space to become a vital platform for sharing and showcasing the skills, knowledge, experience and expertise of this community.

We see a Symposium as a way for people to engage with third space colleagues, information, ideas and experiences in their own time. Contributors can publish any kind of resource (e.g. a recorded presentation, a piece of writing, a podcast, a drama script, a poem, a song, an interactive story, a recording of a discussion, etc) relating to some aspect of working in the third space and there will be opportunities to asynchronously discuss the ideas and questions raised. We are also open to promoting and supporting (where possible) live events of relevance to this group.
